Long projectable frame with long limbs at 6-foot-4, 180-pounds. At the plate started with a square upright stance, strides closed, and hands load back with a slight bat wrap. Level path through the zone with some bat speed and strength in the swing. Displayed some aggression in the swing with power potential, especially to the pull side. Exit velocity of 86 mph. Defensively showed best in the outfield. Solid glove presentation, fields out front, eyes follow to catch. Full arm circle from a three-quarter arm slot for a positional best 88 mph with plenty of carry. Had an infield velocity of 84 mph. Home-1st time was 4.07. Long term, Kaczmarek’s best fit may be on the mound. Worked primarily out of the stretch. Consistent leg lift, sinks in backside, and drives down the mound landing closed. Full arm circle and works from a three-quarter arm slot. Easy 81-83 mph on the fastball with what appeared to be plenty more in the tank. Offspeed stuff is still developing, but shows a lot of promise on all three secondary pitches with present armspeed. Curveball had tight late 12/6 shape at 72-75 mph. Changeup was 76-79. Slider sat 73-74 mph. This is definitely an arm to watch grow as we go into the spring season.
