Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Thin athletic 5-foot-11 frame. Wider square stance, simple lift to stride, and finishes on line. Hands make a small load back to separation before a level swing path through the zone. Does a nice job adjusting to pitch height and natural loft built into the swing. Hit a ball to deep left field that fell and scored Stieg. In his final at bat flew out to right field.

Body: 5’11”, 170 pounds. Long/lean, athletic frame with projection as he matures. Hit: LHH. Balanced, slightly bent stance with the hands loose and low outside the shoulder. Utilized a slight lift and replace stride to initiate the bat head through a sudden, accurate/flat path into the hitting zone. Line drive approach with top of the order tendencies. The ball really jumped off the barrel through the middle of the field at head height, the hips and hands worked flawlessly together; mature hitter. Power: 92 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Doubles power with ability to go for extra bases to either gap. Power starts to become evident when getting extended at the front of the plate. Arm: RH. INF - 78 mph. Low ¾ to ¾ slot with accuracy across the diamond from a quick takeaway. Defense: Not afraid to come and attack the baseball, settling at a wide position with soft hands funneling out in front. Solid pace and some range to the glove hand side while being able to handle plays on the run with ease. Run: 7.34 60-yard time.

Morabito is 5-10 with a lanky athletic 155 pound frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the left side from an open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and extension up through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap, extra base power present in the alleys with potential for more to pull side, exit velocity was 93. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from low three-quarters arm slot, longer arm action, position velocity was 75. Ran a 7.34 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, long loose arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are slightly uphill and slightly closed, lands closed with an athletic finish and some recoil. Fastball was 77-78, touching 79, with some downward angle and heavy armside run to it. Curveball was 65-66 with good armspeed and sharp 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 71-74 with good armspeed and late hard fade to it.
