Neely is 5-7 with an athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a pull approach with some natural loft in his swing that generates power and carry to his pull side, exit velocity was 84. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 70 and pop times 2.13-2.19. Receiving, drops into block quickly and corrals ball effectively. Showed versatility working out in the infield as well. Ran a 4.31 home to first.
