Rutledge is 6-1 with a lanky frame that still has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an athletic stance, short load on line, wraps as he loads back, some hip rotation during his swing. Some quickness to his hands, slightly uphill swing path, line drive swing, showed a pull approach during his round, exit velocity was 81. At short, gets body behind ball to field, fields with a wide base and above average hands, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, infield velocity was 75. Ran a 7.25 60 yard dash.

9.25.17:  Rutledge is 6-1 with a lanky projectable frame, he hits from the right side from a slightly closed balanced athletic stance. Short stride closed, smooth load back, slight wrap, some rhythm to swing. Some hip rotation and some balance during swing. Some whip and quickness to his swing, works uphill with a slight pull tendency, exit velocity was 80, showed ability to be short to ball on inside pitches. At short, quick feet, fields with wide base, above average hands, quick clean exchange and some natural athleticism on display. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, infield velocity was 72. Ran a 7.02 60 yard dash.
