Barry has a long thin 6-foot-2 frame with plenty of room to add strength. Normal effort delivery, higher leg lift, and slight drop and drive down the mound. Long arm swing that goes down on hand break and throws from a higher three-quarter arm slot. The fastball sat between 81-84 mph and touched 85 once. Barry's length and higher slot created some leverage and downhill tilt to the fastball. Showed two different breaking pitches, one a bigger slower curveball that had some early count, working backwards feel to it. That breaking ball had 12/6 shape at 71-73 mph. The other breaking ball had more power curve/slider feel to it that had late depth at 74-76 mph and was more of a finisher. Barry allowed five scattered hits and worked out of some tough jams. He gave up three runs, but all were unearned. He compiled nine strikeouts over his five innings of work. Overall the Paul D Camp commit has plenty of room to add strength to the frame and in turn has a chance to add some velo down the road as he continues to polish up the delivery and loosen up the arm.
