Vanderbilt commit. FB sat 87-89 with glove-side command, CB 69-71 landing in the zone and got swing and misses, CH 79-81. Schulz went 4 IP allowed 3 R (1 ER) on 5 hits and 5 K.
Estimated, 6-foot-1, 180-pound lean, projectable frame. The left-hander throws from a ¾ slot with a short arm swing. His fastball sat 83-85 mph with command to both sides of the plate, also flashing some arm-side run. He also threw a changeup that was 70-73 with late life and good depth, already a plus pitch for him. Added in a few curveballs as well that flashed tight spin a 67-69 mph.
