The slender right-handed pitcher stands at an estimated 6-foot-4, 175 pounds. Hammond gets down the mound with a clean delivery with good tempo and a high frontside. His fastball was 90-92 mph through his 3.1 IP, commanding it well to both sides of the plate. He also had a hammer curveball that was 77-79 mph and tunneled it well with a high fastball to get hitters off balance. He had complete confidence in both pitches all night and had 8 strikeouts.
