Approximately 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame. Athletic body with present lean muscular strength. Works from a high-¾ slot with a short, clean arm stroke. His fastball ranged from 80-86 mph with good life to the bottom of the zone at times. The slider had loose spin at 67-69 mph. The two-way player is a long stride runner with good actions on defense. Offensively he has a balanced set-up with quiet rhythm, good bat speed and a loose finish.

2/8/20: A 6-foot-1, 185 pound over the top slot right-hander, Salgado showed good down angle on his 89-92 mph fastball. He has a quick arm and stayed mostly on-line with a bit rigid delivery throughout his start against Chipola. He struck out seven in four innings, while allowing two hits and no earned runs. Showed an above average, late-breaking 79-80 mph curveball and occasional low-80s changeup. His breaker had consistency and power, especially during the second and third innings. Salgado is one of the top JC arms who have yet to commit for next year.

10/14/19: 6-foot-1 right hander tops out at 94 and will sit 92-94  with a power curveball with depth up to 84 mph. Was able to rack up 46 strikeouts in 29 innings last year as a freshman. Compact, quick loose arm out of the glove, natural athletic rhythm in delivery with some effort but still a repeatable delivery. (Haig)
