5-foot-10, 180-pound, RHH committed to Middle Tennessee State shortly after the event.  Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned present strength throughout, some physical projection.  Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Simple, repeatable swing w/ barrel staying in the zone.  All fields, line-drive oriented approach.  Shows balance with ability to keep hands back and still find a barrel.  Gap power type.  Stands out as a defensive catcher.  Presents a quality low target that maintains for the most part with some short glove movement.  Advanced receiver features strong fore-arms with idea on how to frame the baseball.  Mobile, shows ability to box the baseball and keep it in front of him.  Arm strength w/ carry through target, quick release w/ on the bag accuracy as a thrower.

6/12/18 - Home-1st: 4.53, Pop Time: 1.84-1.95, Position Velocity:  C-78, Exit Velocity: 80
5-foot-10, 170-pound, RHH continues to show that he is amongst the best defensive catchers in the class w/ consistent in game offensive performances, going 4-4 with a double in game.  Medium, sturdy frame w/ present lower half strength, some physical projection.  Offensively, hit w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short, circular hand rhythm into stride to square and proper hand load.  Generates bat speed through the zone.  Knack for contact, zero swing and miss on 8 swings.  Projects to hit for average w/ consistent contact, barrel feel, balance.  Gap power type w/ projectable pull power as frame matures.  Projectable average runner.  Defensively, present solid knee level target, can work on maintaining target as pitcher delivers.  Solid receiver w/ feel for sticking the baseball.  Moves well, shows ability to box the baseball.  Shines as a thrower, showing above average arm strength w/ quick release, on the bag accuracy.  Popped 1.97-2.00 between innings in game.

10/21/17 - Home-1st: 4.59, Pop Time: 2.03-2.09, Position Velocity:  C-78, Exit Velocity: 85
5-foot-10, 170-pound, RHH continued to show his strong throwing arm behind the plate combined with no swing and miss in game.  Short, well-proportioned build w/ some present strength.  Hits with a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location.  Bat waggle.  Stride to square w/ short hand load.  All fields approach w/ line-drive oriented swing.  Gap to gap type.  Shows ability to go with the pitch away w/ authority.  Average runner has repeated average run times in the last two events.  Defensively, presents a good low target for his pitchers w/ soft hands and feel for receiving.  Can get a little loud with the glove pre-pitch.  Moves well behind the plate w/ above average release.  Pop times were a tad down from last event, but still showed above avg arm strength w/ quick feet behind the plate and ability to put the throws on the bag.  Strong defense first catcher in the 2019 class.

9/24/17 - Home-1st: 4.63, Pop Time: 1.90-1.97, Position Velocity:  78, Exit Velocity: 79
5-foot-10, 170-pound, RHH showed elite catch and throw ability w/ consistent hard contact in game.  Short, average build w/ physical lower half.  Offensively, hits from a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ back shoulder hand location and short bat tap.  Stride and proper load.  Up the middle offensive approach w/ gap to gap line drives.  Barrel feel w/ ability for future pull power, went 1-3 in game w/ all hard-hit balls.  Average runner for a catcher, knows how to run the bases.  Defensively, shows above average arm strength w/ quick release and above average accuracy.  Puts his throws on the bag.  Receiving, presents a solid target for his pitchers, keeping his glove low, making it easier to frame low strikes.  Moves well behind the plate.  Can get a little glove happy in movement, but small fix.  Elite defensive catcher that projects to hit, big-time prospect for the 2019 class.
