8/19/18 - Home-1st: 4.78, Position Velocity: IF-70, Exit Velocity: 90
5-foot-11, 215-pound, RHH showed intriguing right-handed power while collecting two hits in game, including a triple to deep straightaway CF. Medium, sturdy frame w/ present strength throughout, close to mature build. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into hip turn w/ a stride and proper load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone. Power over average, explodes on the baseball. Some swing and miss. Worked gap to gap in BP, driving the baseball to all fields. Settled in pull-oriented in game w/ natural loft. Showed some feel for the barrel. Projectable all fields power. Defensively, moves well at 1B w/ carry to target arm strength, solid hands and solid footwork around the bag. Hustled around and was constantly available when needed help during the showcase portion.
6/13/18 - Home-1st: 4.50, Position Velocity: IF-75, Exit Velocity: 85
5-foot-11, 215-pound, RHH had a strong BP round, hitting a couple home runs and showing off his pull power. Medium, stocky frame w/ present lower half strength, some physical projection in the upper half. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, very slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into shift of weight, mini leg kick and proper load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone w/ natural loft. Shows ability to keep hands back and drive the baseball even when fooled by off-speed pitches. Above average pull power, gets to it in game. Watched him hit a no doubter earlier this spring. Power over average, but projects to hit at the next level. Projectable average runner. Defensively, moves well w/ good hands, arm strength w/ carry to target.
7/5/17 - 60 Time: 7.45, Position Velocity: IF-71, Exit Velocity: 84
5-11, 215-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and even stance, uses a modified toe-tap and short stride with a movement back of his hands to get loaded, stays tall throughout his swing, lower half is very active, bat path is flat through the zone with some lift at the end, showed gap power and loves the left-center gap. Defensively, showed sure hands and above average footwork, could've played through the ball more aggressively, arm action varies, throws were accurate but could use some more strength.
