6-foot-4, 182-pound right hander impressed at TN/KY Border Battle working two innings and striking out three. Long, lanky frame with great projection. Simple, quiet delivery with strong balance working well downhill. Long, low effort arm action getting on top of the ball well out of High 3/4 slot. FB sat 81-84, T 85 (Top 86 this summer) with intriguing spin (Max: 2383 rpm; Avg: 2207 rpm), showing ability to beat bats up in the zone and also locating down around the corners. The CB is shaping into a nice secondary offering, improved velo at 71-76 and sharper 11/5 action, while spinning it up to 2408 rpm. Showed serious feel for a legit CH at 73-76 with good depth and arm side fade. Maintains arm speed and commands the zone, really neutralizes lefty bats. Mixed all three offerings for strikes, and the arsenal will only improve has he continues to get more feel for frame.
10/13/20
Uncommitted; 6-foot-2, 170-pound tall, high-waisted right hander has an easy, low effort delivery. Slow, controlled motion with long, loose arm. Mixes speeds of FB sitting 78-85, topping 86 when he needs it. Pitches early in the game then runs it up late for big pitch moments. Mixes 11/5 CB at 66-69 and occasional CH at 70-72. Great projection on frame and much more left in the tank.
