6-1, 195-pound middle infielder continues to improve and develop physically, highlighted by his 91 exit velocity. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ an open, slightly crouched stance w/ bat resting on back shoulder into stride to square and short hand load. Nature of the load creates an occasional hand hitch, but when on time and fluid, shows ability to generate above average bat speed w/ loud contact. Easy bat speed w/ loud BP. Projectable pull power as frame matures. Has the tools to be a high-level offensive player, just a matter of gaining the consistency of swing repeatability in game. Defensively, shows soft hands w/ good footwork and more arm strength than the radar gun indicates, played for quick release at the showcase.
7/5/17 - 60 Time: 7.34, Position Velocity: IF-78, Exit Velocity: 81 6-1, 176-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and slightly open stance, uses some good rhythm and an abbreviated leg kick and stride, lower half gets involved and through the zone, bat path is a little steep but seems to flatten out, barrels up the ball and has some pop potential. Defensively, showed good hands and footwork around the infield, played through the ball, used a short arm action through a high 3/4 slot. Finished 2-4 with a walk in game play.
