Prep Baseball All-American Game: Hegler operates out of a slightly open stance with a quiet, shoulder height handset and quick, toe-tap trigger. Sinks deep into his lower half and really fires his back hip to ball with impressive rotational acceleration as well. Barrel control and bat speed are above-average and shows a good ability to use the whole field. Excellent overall feel to hit, and chance to be a carrying tool. Athleticism out of the crouch at 6-foot-3 is impressive with consistent sub 1.95 pop times. Arm strength is solid, but will play up with accuracy. Blocking and framing lead the profile, and will keep him behind the plate long-term.

C, Andrew Jackson HS, 2025- Catcher and Clemson commit. Showed why he is one of the top catchers in the state and the country on this night. Really showed off his advanced receiving skills while handling one of the top arms the state has to offer. Good flexibility in his setup and stance along really good hands while receiving the ball and manipulating the ball into the zone. Moved well behind the dish while blocking and showed good footwork on throws to second base.
