5-foot-10, 145-pound, average athletic frame, showing twitchy, quick actions, big time athlete, with plus tools. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, at the plate, a balanced setup, feet are even, hands are loose and relaxed at shoulder height, with pre-pitch movement to them. The stride is simple, hands are back on foot strike, swing bath is level to up, rolls hands late, creates natural lift, length in the gaps. Took a very good round of batting practice, with solid at bats in scrimmage. The exit velocity was clocked at 92 mph, and ran a quick 6.62 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, shows a big time arm, clocked at 89 mph across the diamond, good life and carry to it. The glove is soft, comes through the baseball, showed solid starts and turns around the bag. Plenty of arm to stick on left side, will need to continue to smooth out defensive actions. Off the mound, pounded the zone with a three-pitch mix. The delivery is simple, easy lift, inline direction, lead arm comes off at times, could track longer. The lower half could be used more with finish. The arm action is clean on the backside, working from a 3/4 to high 3/4 slot. The fastball reached 87 mph, more 4-seamers. The breaking ball has velocity, clocked in the low 70's, along with a changeup. Projects out more as a position player, potential draft pick at some point.
