5/24/22

Morin was dominant in B.C. earlier this month and carried that into the Dominican, his first trip with the Junior National Team. In his first start of the trip against the Astros, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound left-hander put up the most dominant performance of the trip. Morin worked five innings allowing one run (unearned) and four hits while striking out 10 and walking one. The ABC product posted some of the best K/BB numbers on the trip and was one of just two arms with a pair of 5 inning outings. Morin shows the look of an arm ready to make a major impact as a freshman with Canisius.

5/06/22

After being named to the Canadian Junior National Team for the first time, Morin came out in the ABC opener and was dominant against a strong Okotoks club. The 6-foot-4, 187-pound Canisius commit threw a complete game, two-hit shutout and limited the walks and hard contact throughout the entirety. His three-pitch mix and ability to locate with it helped keep hitters guessing. The fastball was 84-86 T87 early on and settled in around 83-85 later on. The velocity sat 86-88 in March at the ABC Pro Day so it will be interesting to see where the velo is during his next start in the DR, especially in warmer conditions following up this complete game performance.

3/07/22

2022 Canisius commit LHP Felix Morin was one of the most intriguing 2022s we saw on Monday afternoon. He immediately stood out with his projectable 6-foot-4, 182-pounds and then jumped on the mound and sat 86-88 with his fastball. The fastball had cut to it and he also threw a good breaking ball that had late, sharp downward movement. A good looking left-hander who should be able to compete for innings next year in Canisius.
