The 5-foot-11, 195-pound C/1B ran a 7.45 60-yard dash and showed capable actions defensively around the first base bag. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance with a leg lift stride. Gonzalez barreled the baseball routinely in batting practice showing some power to the pull side of the field.

At times swing gets a bit lengthy, but flat swing plane allows him to stay in hitting zone for extended period of time. Solid footwork (7.50 60-yard dash) and above average abilities with the glove at first base. Showcased an accurate 73 mph arm across the diamond.and pop times of 2.20-2.26 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. A tendency to fall off mid-line in delivering throws to second base is correctable.
