Physical: 5’10 160lb OF/1B. 7.28 runner in the 60. A solid framed athlete who shows an advanced feel for his game with an upside that has room to develop.
Offensively: Hand and barrel rhythm produce his timing into a slight uphill barrel path. 88 mph exit velocity from an athletic base. Room for growth with more intent with the lower half will increase both exit Velo and bat speed.
Defensively: Shows ability to move in rhythm to successfully catch the ball with momentum moving towards his target. Threw the ball with good life out of his hand at 77 mph.
7/15/20
Physical: Lean and athletic, 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame with room to continue adding strength as he matures. 7.28 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Begins with a tall, open stance with slight bend into the backside knee as the hands showed loose rhythm high above the head. Utilized a leg-hang stride as the timing mechanism in order to launch the barrel through a whippy, flat path into the hitting zone. Demonstrated some weight shift into a stiff front side with a strong top hand dominating the swing throwing the bat head towards extension. When contacting the ball at the front of the plate, saw gap to gap prowess with a majority of his swings resulting in line drives to the RCF gap. Worked head height with the attack angle recording a maximum of 87 mph bat-exit velocity according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder displayed adequate footwork with active movements playing downhill through the baseball, fielded off of the right side of his body on the approach, soft glove hand with solid catch and throw skills, high ¾ arm-slot with a moderate arm swing, good extension on the release. OF - 73 mph
