Physical: Large and powerful 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame with advanced strength in all phases of the game. 8.32 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with a bend in the knees as the hands start just above the shoulder with the barrel idle over the backside reminiscent of Kris Bryant’s setup. Utilized a toe tap stride coupled with a barrel tip at the top of the load to unleash a violent, slightly uphill barrel path with lift at the front of the plate into the hitting zone. Showcased present weight shift into a stiff and sturdy front side, but kept the hands deep and separated allowing for well above average hip shoulder separation in the box. Demonstrated a natural pull-side approach consistently getting the barrel out in front and ambushing fastballs early in the count. Recorded a 24.4 mph peak hand speed according to Blast Motion … Generated a top batted ball distance of 403 feet per Trackman Baseball / 102 mph max bat-exit velocity both leading the entire event. Impressive physical tools with ability to be a run producer at the next level.
Defensively: The primary first baseman featured a medium center of gravity on the approach, fielded off of the middle/left side of his body with a soft glove hand working out in front, adequate feel around the bag with ability to get back on double play feeds if need be. Accurate, high ¾ slot on throws across the diamond out of a moderate arm circle. INF - 76 mph
