9/13/15 6-foot-2, 195-pounder with a repeatable, under control delivery. Pitched out of a three-quarter slot with a wrist wrap at the bottom of his arm swing. Fastball sat 69-71 and had a little natural cut to it, while he also utilized a big curveball at 60-63 with 1/7 action. Showed a very solid pickoff move as well.

1/20/14 Lanzone is a 6-foot, 175-pound lefty that appears to be far from physical maturity. He showcased sound mechanics with a high leg kick and natural cut to his 62 mph fastball. Lanzone also commanded a 58 mph changeup with some cutting action and a 55-56 mph cutter. The freshman does not yet throw a curveball, instead demonstrating a 53 mph knuckle ball that he struggled to command. Lanzone has the athleticism and the size to add significant velocity in a hurry. He will need to eliminate at least one of his off speed pitches as he moves forward and will need to get stronger to continue progressing as a prospect.
