5/2/17  Trotta looks to have added some strength and size since last seen.  Hitting in middle of order demonstrated solid mechanics and developing bat speed with 2-3 performance using whole field and driving ball over CF head. Sets up narrow and initiates with knee to knee leg kick. Despite leg kick and aggressive lower half weight shift and turn, head remains still.  Swing is short and direct with good extension.  Mechanics project to continued power gains.

8/19/16 2019 RHP has plenty of room to add strength to his 6-foot, 145-pound frame. Incorporated an exaggerated hip coil in which he turns his back to the hitter and pitched with a fastball that sat 74-77. Disrupted hitters' timing with a floating off-speed pitch at 61-64 as well as an occasional abbreviated quick pitch wind-up reminiscent of the one employed by Johnny Cueto of the Cincinnati Reds.
