7/8/14 Campagna took the top round of batting practice at the Western PA Open ID Showcase the ability to drive both gaps from a square stance. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed hitter flashed a bat exit velocity of 85 mph utilizing a strong lower half to create barrel whip. Campagna ran a 7.34 60-yard dash and displayed fluid actions defensively with a 76 mph arm across the diamond. He could potentially make the move to 3B or a corner outfield position with added work to develop additional arm strength. With his athleticism and ability to hit for average and to drive in runs a defensive home should not be an issue for Campagna at the next level.
6/18/14 Campagna missed day one activities, but made the most of his day two opportunity by going 2-for-3 with an opposite field home run in game action. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed hitter has a physical build and a quiet approach at the plate with a strong lower half that creates barrel whip. Campagna has displayed capable actions at 2B and the athleticism that would allow him to play a corner outfield spot or make the slide to 3B at the next level.
5/30/14 Campagna showed big game moxy with a key run scoring triple in his 2nd at bat driven to deep left center field. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound RHH also showed the ability to drive the baseball to the opposite field when he sent the center fielder to the right center field wall in his next at bat.
5/16/14 Campagna showed capable defensive actions with solid arm strength. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound junior could potentially make the move to 3B or 1B as well as a corner outfield spot with his athleticism. Campagna displayed the ability to stay behind the baseball in barreling the ball in all three at bats including a double to the left field wall.
2/15/14 Campagna is a solidly built 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed hitter that hits from a square stance with good balance throughout his swing. He displayed the ability to routinely drive the baseball to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Campagna showcased fluid actions and the ability to play the baseball on the move with a 72 mph arm across the diamond.
