1/20/19 -6-foot-3, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from a wide, square stance utilizing a knee-lift initiated, toe-tap stride. Showed ability to stay flat through the zone, evidenced by his 87 mph bat-exit-velocity. Ran a 5.12 home-to-first time. Played long around the bag and demonstrated the ability to get low for his frame, which helped him notch 75 mph throws across the infield. Right-handed pitcher began with long, high 3/4 arm-action evidenced by a fastball that sat 71-74 mph while topping at 75 mph. Curveball was featured from 57-58 mph with 10/4 break. Changeup showcased at 63-65 mph.
1/21/18 Offensively, initiates swing from open set up with knee to knee leg kick and stride to neutral. There is food balance and feel for barrel with multiple balls being squared in bp. Separation is limited and back elbow drifts considerably in front of hands creating drag. Senchur maintains posture and creates leverage through hitting off a firm front side. A bat exit velocity of 77 mph was recorded.
Defensively, hands and feet are adequate. Transfer is clean with a long throwing motion present. Long frame and limbs play at first base.
On the mound working out of high 3/4 arm slot there is solid hip coil and balance with ability to repeat. FB sat 67-69 and was commanded well at bottom of zone. CB is presently work in progress. CH at 59-60 mph demonstrated subtle arm side fade with arm being slowed in delivery.
