Physical: Lean, projectable 6-foot-2, 160lbs with high level athleticism and track record to back it up.
Pitching: RHP - Begins from the middle of the rubber from the stretch-only. Controlled leg-lift before separating out and releasing with advanced front-side block at release (H ¾ slot, quick arm). The FB landed, strikes, from 80-82 mph at 2354rpms AVG. Lower release and spins the ball well, pairing a sharp two-plane, downer CB at 72-73 mph for swing/miss in game action. Sporting a 0.00 ERA this spring so far, an arm to follow closely in the class, also adding a cutter to the mix now. Upside remains.
2/27/21
Physical: 6’1 150lb RHP/SS ran a 7.18 laser timed 60 yard dash. Young frame with room to add strength and size. Shows promise in actions throughout his game.
Offensively: LHH Maintains a tall stature throughout his swing. Drives down through the ball and finishes up with his hands. Shows good direction in his weight shift and displays good body control. Room to add power as strength is added.
Defensively: Shows athletic footwork, using both long strides and short stutter steps to put himself in a good position to receive the ground ball. Hands work together to catch the ball. Moves feet well after the catch and uses a long arm swing, throwing OTT on all throws.
Pitching: Pitching mainly from the stretch, has a simple leg lift before working down and out the mound towards the catcher. Shortens up his arm swing and engages a little bit more of an aggressive body movement. Arm still works OTT and gets downhill, on top of the ball.
