4/10/17 6-foot-2 175 pound RHP/3B demonstrated 4-seam FB early on sitting 88-89 and touching 90. 2-seam FB was 85-86 with considerable arm side run and sink. Cutter sat 79-81 with variable break at times being short and quick and at others times having a more sweeping action. At its best cutter was difficult to recognize and had enough 2-plane break to miss bats. Weston used changeup sparingly despite it being thrown at FB arm speed with substantial arm side fade. CB was inconsistent on this day with a rolling 11-5 break. Mechanics showed front foot landing open with intermittent fall toward first base and difficulty maintaining release point. Mechanics were otherwise clean and arm was loose with minimal effort to delivery. Power arm with projectable frame.
11/10/19:poised freshman RHPCameron Westonwho worked 3.1 scoreless innings with an 87-89 mph sinking fastball and dazzling with his nasty forkball at 75-78 mph. He induced repeated swing/miss with the old fashioned fork, totaling five strikeouts.
