7/20/16 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter went 2-for-6 with two triples in game action over two days. Starts from a slightly open stance with a high hands load and initiates his swing with a short heel-raise stride. Exhibited some present power with a 90 mph bat exit velocity. Very fundamentally sound infielder displays ability to play multiples infield positions at the next level with a soft glove hand, athletic feet and accurate 84 mph arm strength across the diamond.
4/6/16 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter displayed an advanced approach at the plate from a slightly open stance with a high hands load. Sat on the breaking ball against an upper 80s arm and took several solid swings leading to a walk and a line drive single in three at bats. Laced a fastball for a double to the center field wall against a reliever in a later at bat. Showed active feet and a quick release defensively making several difficult plays. Tendency to make all plays on the move led to a couple of bobbles on soft rollers, but range is noticeable and arm strength will keep him on left side at the next level.
2/14/16 Right-handed hitter with strong, 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame. Started from a slightly open stance and strode to square. Used the middle of the field and showed some feel for creating backspin. Wasn't getting much out of his backside on this day, as his weight was drifting into his front hip with his toe-tap stride, which could explain his 87-mph exit velocity being a few ticks down from the summer (90-mph). Improving footspeed has his 60-yard dash time down to 7.24. Defensively, he continues to show soft hands and an accurate 85-mph arm with carry across the diamond.
