5/23/17 Physical right-hander worked entirely from the stretch again with command of three pitches for seven innings while tossing a complete game 2-hit playoff shutout.  Fastball sat 84-86 early and settled in at 82-84 over the final five innings. Showed solid feel for curveball at 68-70 and a flatter slider at 70-72.

5/2/17 Listed at 6-foot-3, 210-pounds on the roster, he looks even bigger standing on the rubber. Pitched entirely from the stretch with a bit of an abbreviated arm action out of a three-quarter slot. Pounded the zone with a fastball that had occasional armside sink at 82-84 early before getting a little more erratic and settling at 78-81 the second time through the order. Change-up at 74-76 has the makings of a solid pitch, while his breaking ball was a flat sweeper at 71-72 on this day.
