Mid-way through a summer full of PBR events it is time to roll out our next update of the 2017 calendar year to our class of 2018 rankings.  This update includes the addition of 50 prospects as the list grows to a total of 150. The next update will likely come in late August following the completion of the final events of the PBR summer schedule.

Of the 150 players ranked in this update, 66 have already made their college commitments, including 46 of the top 50 on the list.  This number will grow significantly prior to the next update in August.

Top 10

Tyler BurchettSean GuilbeMike SianiWilliam Penn Charter OF/LHP Mike Siani, a Virginia commit, continues to hold down the top spot in the rankings. Recently added to the USA Baseball's 18U 40-man trials roster, Siani is also currently ranked No. 2 in the PBR Overall Rankings for this class.

Berks Catholic SS Sean Guilbe, who changed his college commitment to Tennessee this summer moves to No. 2 from his previous ranking of No. 9. Guilbe has shown advanced abilities as a right handed hitter and should draw considerable interest in the 2018 MLB Draft.

RHP Tyler Burchett (Red Lion Area), a Kentucky commit, moves from No. 7 to No. 3.  Burchett's 6-foot-6 frame and low 90s fastball with significant tilt will draw plenty of scouts to see him throw during the course of his senior season.

Top Newcomers

Of the 50 prospects added to the list in this update, LHP Joseph Rock (Hopewell) enters at the highest spot at No. 49.  The 6-foot-4, 190-pound lefty had a breakout spring sitting 84-86 with considerable sink and run to his fastball.

Council Rock South RHP Brenden Carter (No. 62) also makes his first appearance in the rankings after impressing this spring.  The 6-foot-3, 210-pound righty flashed a heavy fastball in the mid-80s with solid command of his curveball and slider.
