2.16.19 - 6-foot, 190-pound left-handed hitter has added 10 pounds of good weight to his frame over the past six months. The 2018 PBR Future Games Team Pennsylvania participant committed to Cincinnati this fall and continues to get better. He begins from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Shows above average rhythm and balance throughout while staying behind the baseball routinely. Took one of the loudest rounds of batting practice on the day continually driving the baseball with an ability to create backspin. Registered a 91 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 6.73 60-yard dash. Athletic defender plays through the baseball routinely with 83 mph arm strength.
6/12/18 - 6-foot, 180-pound left-handed hitter took arguably the top round of BP at the event. He sets up in a square stance and initiates his swing with a short, controlled stride to square. Clears his lower half well and allows his hands to work through contact. Displayed an advanced feel for the barrel with present gap-to-gap power that will likely develop as his athletic frame continues to fill out. Went 2-for-3 in game action while barreling the baseball in all three at bats on day one. Did not participate on day two due to a prior commitment. Ran a 6.82 60-yard dash and showcased similar athletic actions in the outfield with 82 mph arm strength. Likely a corner outfielder at the next level, but also plays first base and could develop into a middle-of-the order bat at that position given time and continued physical development.
9/10/17 - 6-foot, 180-pound left-handed hitter with a projectable frame has made a significant jump in all measurable categories over the past 12 months. Starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short, leg-hang stride. Displayed excellent rhythm and balance throughout his swing with a high finish. Creates backspin with present gap power and registered a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash and flashed athletic defensive actions with 81 mph arm strength in the outfield. The lefty sat 73-75 on the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot. Also showcased a curveball with 1/7 rotation at 58-60 and an changeup with good sell at 65-67.
9/11/16 - 5-foot-11, 160-pound left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a solid feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. Athletic outfielder ran a 7.14 60-yard dash and demonstrated the ability to play through the baseball with accurate 76 mph arm strength. Lefty sat 63-65 on the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot with much more in the tank. Showed good tempo to his delivery with command of the zone. Also displayed a 51 mph curveball with 1/7 rotation. Interesting prospect to follow as he matures physically.
