Quin McLane has a great pitchers frame standing at 6’4’’, 200-pounds, with room to get stronger and add more mass to his frame. Athletic actions on the mound, Whippy and clean arm action with, ball comes out naturally from a ¾ arm slot. Gets good extension and is able to throw downhill effectively. Fastball tops out at 86 mph with late natural cut down in the zone. Able to locate the pitch for strikes on both sides of the plate. Curveball sits 72-74 mph, with good bite and an 11/5 shape, able to throw pitch with the same arm speed and arm slot creating some good deception. Slows arm down on his changeup, which shows some fading action and sits 76-77 mph. Overall, a very interesting uncommitted 2018 grad with a good feel for three pitches, McLane passes the eye test and more is sure to come from the tall right-hander.
Athletic Righty with long legs at 6-foot-4, 196-pounds. Slight arm stab with a pretty compact delivery without any points of stress. Balanced delivery. Fastball was 84-86 with some natural cut. Curveball was 69-71 with decent vertical movement. Tight with deceptive qualities. Was able to get down well. Possessed a good feel for both pitches
