Murciano, a catcher for the Ontario Astros, impressed at the New Year Open. Behind the plate, he was up to 1.95 during catcher pops, while getting throws off up to 72 mph. The bat has continued to progress; he was up to 86 mph off the tee, he displayed some bat speed and looseness. There is plenty of room to continue to put on weight and fill out, and he would benefit greatly as a result. It was an impressive showing from the catcher, and he could contribute to a school at the next level.
