2024 LHP Lachlan Harrison got the start on Saturday for the Ontario Blue Jays and continues to show some of the better stuff among uncommitted 2024s in Ontario. 6-foot-4, 205-pound left-hander with clean mechanics and direction on the mound while also controlling the run-game well. The fastball sat 84-86 T87, coupled with a breaking ball at 73-76mph and generated plenty of swing/miss on both pitches early on. Ran into some trouble later in the outing but an overall good showing from Harrison with minimal hard contact.

Harrison, 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, is one of the top uncommitted arms left in the country. Clean arm action with extension working down hill with his 85-88 mph FB that he can sink at times. He offers two different breaking balls with the SL having a tighter shape, but they both had sharp bite. The strength/stuff combination is very intriguing. Harrison is a big-time arm that’s still on the board in Canada’s 2024 class.

The 2024 grad has been one of the more impressive arms thus far. Against Georgetown, he created lots of swing/miss on both his FB and CB, totalling 5 strikeouts in 2 innings. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound lefty has a loose arm and creates a steep approach angle with his offerings when living down in the zone, producing lots of weakly hit ground balls. No doubt one of the top uncommitted 2024 arms in the province.

Harrison, a 6 foot- 4 195-pound LHP did not disappoint on the mound. Has taken major strides since we last saw him adding noticeable strength to his tall lanky frame. Attacked hitters with a 3-pitch mix that he threw for strikes at any point in the count. The fastball was tough to read out of the hand topping 89mph, a slider that had a sharp sweep to it and a change up that kept hitters off balance. Will be a name to look out for as one of the top uncommitted arms.
