impressed on Sunday with two scoreless, hitless innings of relief. With a clean and compact arm action his top pitch was a low-90s sinker that showed late dive to his armside, followed by a 77-79 downer curveball and 80-81 changeup.

Barr spent most of the summer pitching in Michigan and committed to the University of Michigan during that time as well. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound right-hander from the Windsor Selects had late life on his 86-88 mph fastball and was effective when using it up in the zone. It wasn’t the best we’ve seen from Barr but the arm looks good and there’s lots to like. The slider sat 70-73 and was an effective pitch while also mixing in a couple changeups. Barr has continued to trend upwards each summer so it will be intriguing to see what he looks like come springtime.
