2.19.18 Di Clemente had yet another strong showing at the Ontario New Year Open. The infielder has continued to impress with his plethora of tools, be it at the plate or in the field. At 5-foot-10, 165-pounds, Di Clemente has a small frame, but still has some room to add more size. The 2019 grad ran a 6.75-second 60 with athletic and quick strides, showing twitchy lower half actions. At the plate, Kenny has quick hands and shows good bat-to-ball skills. Exaggerated load on his back foot, using a short leg kick, Di Clemente's hands are able to explode through the zone and generate quick bat speed. Takes aggressive hacks and projects as a line-drive hitter. In the field, showcases athleticism and is quick on his feet, shows clean transfers and is even able to go deeper into the 6-hole to make a play. Throws have carry and are online with clean arm action from a 3/4 slot. The uncommitted 2019 classman does a lot of things well all over the baseball field and should be an interesting follow for coaches ahead of the summer.
11.3.17 Di Clemente had himself a day with strong numbers in many categories. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound 2019 grad ran the top 60 time on the day of 6.75 with quick strides. At the plate, left-handed swing with quick hands to contact and whip through the zone, minimal load in hands, was able to keep the barrel in the zone and create hard contact, can see as a top of the lineup type hitter with speed and line drive approach. Moved well defensively, athleticism is there and the arm works, clean in the back and can get outfront, was 84 mph from both infield and outfield. With speed, can see more in the outfield but showed he can pick it in the infield. Toolsy player who will add strength, the quick twitch and ability to run make him a very interesting 2019 prospect.
