Fastball keeps its plane, 78-80 mph, and touches 81 mph,  with more in the tank. Curveball has 12/6 shape with some depth, 70 mph. Kouba had two strikeouts, three hits, and a walk in his inning. Runs a 7.88 60. Offensively, right-handed hitter, all fields approach, found barrel consistently. 6/6/17
A 5-foot-11, 150-pound lean frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a balanced, slightly wide set-up with some bend in his knees and rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth gradual load and heel lift with late heel plant for timing, path is short to the ball and flat through extension. In BP, shows a middle to pull, flat/ground ball approach, mostly barrels, 78 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.51 60. Defensively, shows soft hands, average feet, deliberate actions. Arm action is clean and loose, 3/4 slot, 79 mph, some accuracy.

A lean 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. Works only out of the stretch, an up-tempo and smooth delivery with a high leg kick, repeats well. Arm circle is big and loose, high-3/4 slot, whippy out front with some arm speed. Fastball was 84-85 mph early in the innings cooling a bit to 82-83 later. Slider shows late bite with depth and 11/5 shape, 73-75 mph. In the game, had a quick inning of work, getting swings and misses on both the fastball and the slider.
2/4/18
A 6-foot-1, 165-pound lean frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. On the mound, works only from the stretch with an average tempo delivery and an high leg kick. Arm action has length in the back before coming through a ¾ slot with looseness an quickness. Fastball sits 84-86 mph with heavy arm-side run, some strikes. Slider has 10/4 shape with depth, pulled to the glove side at times, 74-77 mph. Changeup has consistent late fade, 78-80 mph. Overall, Kouba will have big value for a staff at the next level with his ability to sink his fastball and spin his slider with more velo likely down the road.
