A 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame with present strength and still room to develop physically. Offensively, the right-hitter bats from a tall and very open stance. Uses a small load with a short stride with hands that slightly push back before launching through the zone in an upward bat path. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach with some lift and consistent advanced pop, almost all barrels, 87 mph exit velo. Runs a 7.72 60. Defensively, receives from a low setup that is slightly turned to his arm side with average hands and above average blocking. On throws down, shows clean feet and uses a short arm stroke coming through an over the top slot with above average accuracy at 75 mph for showcase pop times of 1.94-2.03.
4/28/19
A 5-foot-10, 185 pound frame physically advanced frame with broad shoulders. On the mound the right-hander works from an average tempo and simple delivery with a short leg kick before taking an abbreviated stride down the mound. Arm action has moderate length in the back with a wrist hook before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 75-78 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball is still developing with 11/5 shape at 65-66 mph. Changeup shows consistent late fade at 67-68 mph.
5/29/18 A 5-foot-6, 135-pound frame. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from an open, balanced and athletic set-up with rhythm in his hands. Uses a short and smooth load before a toe-tap stride and launching his hands on a slightly uphill path through extension. In BP, shows a gap-to-gap approach with some lift, consistent pull pop and mostly barrels, 82 mph exit velo. Runs an 8.25 60. Defensively, shows advanced hands receiving behind the dish. Covers ground with foot work on throw downs and blocks well. Throws from a high ¾ slot with some accuracy, 2.19-2.34 pop times, 72 mph to second. Also athletic enough to play third.
