A simple load with the hands allowed for an easy uphill barrel path through the zone creating backspin to the pull-side gap. Demonstrated a feel for the barrel recording an impressive 92 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee, in which there still appears to be more intent to be had. Registered an 8.01 60-yard dash. Displayed soft hands with give during defensive evaluations while flashing comfortability around the bag. Adequate feet created consistently accurate 76 mph arm-strength across the diamond out of a high ¾ arm-slot.

On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled and deliberate delivery with a high leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing slightly to the first base side. Arm action is fluid in the back with moderate length before getting short and coming through a ¾ slot. Fastball sits 78-80 with some arm-side run and some deception, nearly all strikes. Splitter shows cut and sink with occasional late and heavy darting action. In the game, Baker struck out all four batters he faced.

Began in an open stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride to start his swing. Displays a flat swing plane, quick bat speed and good extension on his finish. . While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 71 mph; had firm hands and developing feet. Had a long arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.57.

Fastball shows consistent arm-side run at 77-78 mph. Splitter has tumbling action with consistent late depth, has a chance to be a plus pitch in the future, 68-72 mph. Slider has 10/4 shape with gradual break and some depth, 69-71 mph. Changeup keeps its plane and is thrown with near fastball arm speed, 68-70 mph.
