Cord Dobrinski: C/1B, (2022) Bristow, OK. 6-foot-1, 185-pound physical frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 85 mph. Starts in a tall stance with a tight load, then uses a controlled stride before his swing. Has short swing plane and high finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, had a pop time of 2.02-2.14, from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 84 mph. He recorded a position velocity of 72 mph during throw downs; has sure hands, quick feet and a developing exchange. Wide setup with some flexibility. From an-over-the-top slot, showed decent accuracy to the base with a short arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.15 at the event.
10/27/19
Demonstrated advanced feel of a physical 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame with present athleticism. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride and backwards lean to initiate his swing. Hands drop to shoulder height upon load allowing for a flat barrel path to enter the zone upon contact. Generated consistent, easy swings with feel for the barrel during batting practice showing a middle to opposite field approach. Registered a solid 85 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee and recorded a 7.02 60-yard dash showing a current feel for his body. The primary backstop featured adequate framing ability with minimal body sway at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.19-2.44 on throws of 68 mph out of the crouch using a short takeaway from a high ¾ arm-slot. Solid straight line footwork created consistent, accurate throws to the bag and an increase in arm-strength should be seen as he matures. Showcased downward angles while blocking with adequate recovery skills.
