Cooper Bates: 3B/RHP, (2024) Broken Arrow, OK. 5-foot-8, 140-pound slim frame. At the plate, Bates best exit velocity was 79 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a small load, then uses a leg kick before his swing. Bat speed was quick, displayed short swing plane and high finish. Had some loud contact and found lots of barrels. Aggressive approach. Above average in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 73 mph; shows consistent feet, firm hands and a lengthy exchange. Showed a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.66. Average on the mound, where he showed some arm speed, also used a consistent arm action with an over-the-top arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses high effort. Tall balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands square. Produced a fastball that came in at 76-77 mph with a max of 77 mph; has a decent control that shows straight movement. His changeup (66-68) has some action and occasional control. His curveball (62-62) had early action.
