10/29/17
A 5-foot-7, 150-pound lean frame. On the mound, works from a abbreviated and up-tempo wind-up with rhythm and athleticism. Arm Circle is moderate, droping down then coming through a high-¾ slot with quickness. Fastball sits 78-80 with slight arm side run. Slider has 11/5 shape with some late depth 67-71 mph. In the game struggled a bit with strikes early, but found his rhythm late. Offensively, the right-handed hitter bats from a wide, back leg heavy, and quiet stance with a slight crouch. Uses a big leg kick before launching his hands on a flat path through extension, rotational finish. In BP, shows a middle to pull approach with occasional lift, inconsistent timing. Exit velo of 79 mph. Runs a 7.05 60. Defensively, shows deliberate actions with feet and hands. Throws from a high-¾ slot with arm strength, 83 mph across the diamond, developing accuracy.
2/4/18
A lean 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. On the mound, works from an average tempo delivery with a high leg kick and coil at the top before stiding to the dish. Arm action is short in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 78-80 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows above average spin with some late depth, 65-66 mph. Changeup is thrown with less arm speed, 60-70 mph, still developing. Overall, Viney will be an interesting prospect as his frame continues to develop and his arm speed increases.

6/6/18
A proportional 5-foot-8, 150-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and a high leg kick before gliding to the dish. Arm action has moderate length in the back before a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke and coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 77-80 mph. Slider has 10/4 shape with some late depth at 65-66 mph. In the game, it took Viney a batter to find his rhythm, but once he did he retired three in row, including a punch out.
