A Nebraska commit that brings an above average skill set across the board. A lefty bat that can square the ball up to both fields. Swing is compact and he has feel for the barrel. Generates above average natural tools through the zone and easy gap pop off the bat. A middle infielder that could end up on either side of the diamond. Feet work well and hands are soft. Not a flashy defender but very sure-handed with the ability to move out of his funnel to make plays.
60-yard dash: 6.97
Infield Velocity: 82
Exit Velocity: 88
8/4/17 Left-handed bat that starts and stays balanced through swing. Quiet setup with quickness in his hands. Currently line drive, gap to gap type hitter. Put together quality at-bats and worked the whole field in BP rounds. Moved well defensively, can go to either side while showing confidence in glove. Ran a 7.02 and can see that becoming quicker as he adds strength. Middle infielder who can contribute in multiple ways. 60-Yard Dash: 7.02 Exit Velocity: 84 OF Velocity: 76
6/6/17 A left-handed hitter that starts in balanced setup. Mechanics are simple and efficient. Natural tools show in swing. Strong kid with obvious quickness to his bat. Path was mostly flat through the zone. Skill set translates anywhere in the lineup. Flashed gap to gap pop with the ability to create backspin. In the infield he moves light on his feet and gets solid reactions off the bat. Glove skills are well above average and transfer is quick. 60-yard dash: 7.1 Infield Velocity: 76 Exit Velocity: 88
1/22/17
6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect. In the infield he moves light on his feet and showed confidence in his glove. Very quick transfer. Remains athletic on the move. Left-handed hitter that starts in balance stance. Shows good rhythm to his swing. Loads weight with leg kick. Shows simple load with his hands taking slight uphill path to the ball. Obvious pop in his bat. Top exit velocity of 89 mph off the tee. Showed physical development and overall improvement in his skills since we saw him in August.
7/26/16 6-foot-1, 170-pound projectable frame. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup and does a nice job of gathering his weight prior to his stride. Has above average batspeed while getting through the zone on an uphill path. Hands tend to get tied up prior to launch. Top exit velocity was 75 mph. In the infield he has some fluidity to his footwork with efficient glove skills. Would like to see him play through the ball more consistently. Threw across the infield with 70 mph.
