Body Type: 6-foot-4 205-pound tall physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Long arm action that is slightly late getting up. Uses lower half well but still more in the tank. Mixes in sidearm as well.
Fastball: 82-84mph with some life and arm side movement.
Curveball: 74-75mph slider from sidearm with sweeping 10/4 movement.
Changeup: 76-77mph changeup with good movement. Indicates more velocity left with fastball.
Pitchability: In the zone with both pitches consistently. Development of consistent command on both sides of the plate will take this arm to next level.
Additional Comments: High potential arm to watch going into senior year.
Body Type: 6-foot-4, 205-pound physical frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Picked up noticeable strength and arm speed since the last time we saw him, obvious taking advantage of his off season. High-¾ right-hander with athletic movement patterns out there.
Fastball: 83-85 mph. Almost all 85’s with a few 84’s and one 83. Heavy through the zone with late life. High spin guy that should have more in the tank.
Slider: 72-75 mph. True slider that has quality action through the zone. Has present swing and miss to it.
Changeup: 77-78 mph. Looked comfortable with the offering that has some fading action to it.
Pitchability: Filled it up.
Additional Comments: Scholarship arm talent that will put D1 scouts in the stands this spring/summer.
A talented arm prospect in the ‘20 class. Very physical 6-foot-4 frame with surprising athleticism. Impresses with pitchability and ability to create deception with changing arm slots. Attacks hitters with the fastball that comes out easy, at 81-83 mph. Pitch plays up with ¾ slot creating heavy run/sink consistently. When he drops down to sidearm he is able to maintain most of his velocity, while maintaining movement. True three-pitch guy that offers two above average secondary offerings. Breaking ball has big, sharp action on an 11/5 plane at 70-73 mph. Changeup has similar movement to the fastball with heavier action at 75-76 mph. Very impressive pitch. Really liked what I saw. High spin rate guy that should see more velocity down the road. Like his chances of becoming a scholarship arm.
