9.17
Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
64.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

Joshua Darst: 1B/LHP, (2022) Homeschooled, OH. 6-foot-2, 280-pound. In the box, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 92 mph. (64.07 mph bat speed average). (18.45 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was efficient quick, displayed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls during the round. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 64 mph; showed a natural exchange, sure hands, and developing choppy feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot with a long arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 9.17. On the mound, curveball (54-56 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 68-71 mph. (Max spin 1849; Avg 1694).

6-foot-1, 270-pound body frame. On the mound he throws with regular effort to his delivery landing in a straight line at foot strike, finishing with his momentum carrying toward home plate. Has average arm speed through a ¾ slot. Fastball is mostly true through the zone ranging from 65-68 mph. Curveball has a 2/8 shape with good depth and gradual break between 60-61 mph. Throws his changeup using good arm speed at 60-61 mph. Left-handed hitter showed strength at times during his round of BP. Starts from a balanced stance using a leg kick to initiate a fluid weight shift load with his lower half into his back leg. Swings with a slightly upward bat path and finishes with a two-handed follow through. Can hit the baseball to all parts of the field, reaching an exit velocity of 86 mph. Squared up the baseball in two of his plate appearances during gameplay when he doubled to the left-center field fence and lined out to center field.
