Gavin Ehrhardt: OF/LHP, (2023) Avon, OH. Cincinnati Commit, 5-foot-11, 215-pound. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 93 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was explosive, used an upward swing plane and high finish. Smooth when throwing from the outfield, he showed off his strong arm with throws at velocities of 90 mph;had athletic footwork, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had an-over-the-top slot and a quick arm action. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.8.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. Swing Mechanics: A left-handed hitter that starts in a tall stance. Flows thourhg load with easy, efficient movements. Hit: Vertical barrel launch gives him a running start with the barrel, generating easy pop. All fields hitter with well above average juice for class. Very impressive hit tool. Power: Easy gap abilities with some raw power in there. 93.6 mph off the bat in BP. Offensive Projection: Run Producer. Field: In the outfield he plays with obvious feel and athletic actions. Solid defender out there with a well above average skill set across the board. Throw: Ball jumps out of hand. Arm is a well above average tool. Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots with that arm and athleticism. Additional Comments:
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Moves well on the mound. Position player background shows with his mobility/movement patterns. Arm works well through an over the top slot. Fastball: 79-81 mph. Ball jumps. Very high spin rate guy so velo plays up, 2100-2300. Cuts the ball a little bit, could see instant velo jump if he learns to get behind the ball more efficiently. Curveball: 65-68 mph. Above average offering. Near 12/6 shape with some late bite to it. Pitchability: Threw strikes on this day. Additional Comments: Stuff is for real if he can consistently be in the zone and he also has room to grow still.

5-foot-10, 195-pound southpaw with physical build for the age. Only were able to see him throw to three batters coming off an extended weekend outing, but saw enough to give us a reason to catch another outing in the future and follow his progress. Mechanically sound delivery that requires a little more than regular effort. Moves very efficiently down the mound. Clean arm action that works through a high ¾ slot. Fastball shows good life with some late arm side movement working at 77-79 mph. Curveball is near 12/6 with bigger break at 59-63 mph. Spins it tight and should turn into an above average pitch as arm speed catches up to the hand speed. Definite arm strength which was displayed throughout game play, the workout, and on the bump. Two-way prospect. Gets things started with a double tap for timing at the plate. Hands show slight back load before accelerating the barrel through the zone on a mostly level path that has some loft at times. Intent driven swing with the natural tools to do damage when he connect. Middle of the lineup type bat with loft power to pull side. Impressed in the outfield. Actions are athletic and he plays with feel out there. Ball skills are well above average through and arm is a huge tool. Arguably the top throw tool at the event.
