Body Type: 6-foot-2, 180-pound lengthy frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Utilizes lower half but short arms the ball. More velocity left in the tank with a more smooth arm action. Fastball: 68-69 mph. Locates well in the zone but could locate on both corners of the plate better. Curveball: 55-57mph with more depth over action. Somewhat of a 12/6 movement. Changeup: 62-65mph. Needs to have bigger velocity gap from fastball to throw hitters off balance. Pitchability: In the zone but could locate on the corners better.

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 175 pounds. Athletic frame with room to add. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Has smoother arm action with a ¾ arm slot in his delivery. Tempo shows a more even flowing rhythm as he goes to work. Intent plays very well and will only help his mechanics continue to improve. Fastball: 84-86 mph. Power fastball from this righty with nice run from the arm-side. 2-seam sat similar velocity as his 4-seam with average run. Threw both for strikes. Slider: 72-74 mph. Has sharp run to it with 10-4 action coming late. Sat bottom of the zone often. Changeup: 79-82 mph. Lighter arm-side run and showed sinking action. Commands this well within the zone too. Pitchability: Displayed a three-pitch mix that is effective and has locating ability with all of them. Both off-speed pitches showed nice life and will be effective this season and beyond. Role: Multiple.

6-foot, 167-pound wiry right handed arm with some evident arm strength. One of the more projectable arms of the event that will be a definite follow. Slower tempo motion with a delivery that requires regular effort. Presents a quick arm that works through a high ¾ slot. Fastball shows some life through the zone at 80-84 mph. Slider shows some sharpness on a 10/4 plane at 70-74 mph. A righty swinger that starts in a balanced stance. Loading sequence is simple, creating consistent timing and a balanced launch. Path is mostly level through the zone showing a balanced offering of strength and bat speed. Ball comes off well, showing present gap abilities. Has some run producer qualities in there.

We stumbled upon Gavin this spring and were excited to get a second look at him. The right-hander has a mostly clean arm through a high-¾ slot with obvious strength. Fastball sat 84-86 mph while staying mostly true through the zone. Spins a hard slider that has more spin than action at this stage at 73-75 mph. An arm to follow in the 2020 class.
