6/26/18 Impressed by intangibles. Obvious weight room buy in with his physical, athletic frame. Plays hard all the time/high motor type. Worked out up the middle of the infield and behind the dish. Higher ceiling is behind the plate. Obvious athleticism back there with a very quick release. Pop times were almost all in the low 1.9s. In game he blocks with ease and is a solid receiver. In the infield he has above average ball skills with room to clean up footwork. An everyday catcher at the next level that could slide to second when need be. Physical swing at the plate with above average bat speed and easy authority through contact. Squared up the ball often and it goes off the bat. Routine gap threat at this stage with signs of power coming out. 60-yard dash: 7.36 Pop Times: 1.9-1.96 Catcher Velocity: 62 Infield Velocity: 67 Exit Velocity: 88
6/6/18 A good athlete with a high motor. Intangibles through the roof. Behind the dish he has above average catch and throw abilities with the willingness to block. Although his highest ceiling is behind the dish he also shows above solid abilities up the middle of the infield. A physical bat from the right side. Swing shows obvious strength with above average bat speed through the zone. Solid player. 60-yard dash: 7.22 Pop Times: 1.92-2.0 Catcher Velocity: 72 Infield Velocity: 71 Exit Velocity: 87
2/18/18 5-foot-9, 175 pound catching prospect starts from a taller, balanced crouching position displaying quick foot speed and average footwork getting himself aligned with his target on throws. His ball to hand transfer was quick and fluid. Did a nice jo receiving it as well throughout his pens. Average arm strength at 71 mph down to second. Pop times were 2.06-2.11 seconds. In the middle infield he fields it from a wide base that can use more flexibility and improve in smoothness while fielding. Showed nice hands fielding each attempt cleanly. Footwork was average and improving on lateral movement. Throwing velocity across the diamond was 70 mph. Really physical bat from the right side. Put together well and offers an impressive combination of strength and batspeed through the zone. Path is level and ball really jumps off the bat. Middle of the lineup type bat with scholarship level natural tools. 60-yard dash: 7.14 Pop Times: 2.06-2.11 Catcher Velocity: 71 Infield Velocity: 70 Exit Velocity: 93
7/5/17 Started for Hilliard Davidson as a sophomore. Behind the plate he checks all the boxes. Pop times won’t wow you but in game he gets the job done. Receives well and blocking skills are above average. At the plate he uses a simple approach mechanically. Hands move slightly back during his short stride forward. Path is level and he has feel for the barrel. Strength stands out in his swing. Ball gets off his bat well. Gap to gap guy in general. Home-1st: 4.32 Pop Time: 2.05-2.17 Catcher Velocity: 73 Exit Velocity: 83
6/6/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Simple mechanically with a short quick swing. Contact type guy that consistently finds the barrel.
