Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
8/4/17 A very good athlete on the bump with a physical 6-foot-3 frame. Vore was a little erratic with control early on but cruised through his outing as he settled in. Fastball got on hitters well, consistently sitting was 86-88 mph. Secondary stuff is playable but far from its ceiling. If he puts it together he has a chance to be a special arm talent.
6/6/17 A talented right-handed pitching prospect in the 2019 class. Big, strong frame with projectable. Arm is loose and fast while moving through a high-¾ slot. Throws a heavy, 84-86 mph fastball. The pitch works downhill showing arm side run. Vore throws two secondary offerings for strikes consistently. Spins an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that keeps improving each time we see him. Comes in at 69-70 mph with some sharpness to it. Would benefit from maintaining his fastball arm speed on the breaker. Looked equally as comfortable with his 74-75 mph change-up. The pitch had some run and sink to it.
2/19/17 6-foot-2, 192-pound prospect. Projects best as a pitcher at the next level. Defensively, he worked out at third base. Average footwork. Tendency to field the ball deep when played straight on. Comfortable moving to his glove side and coming across the infield. Throws through high ¾ slot with top velocity of 81 mph. At the plate he starts in a balanced setup prior to his short stride forward. Uses a bat tip for timing and added whip through the zone. Path is level and strength through contact are impressive. Showed power potential to his pull side.
60 Yard Dash: 6.82 Position Velocity: 81 Exit Velocity: 86
7/26/16 A long limbed righty with a projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds. Had the best fastball of the day as he was consistently 85-86 mph, the majority of his fastballs being 86 mph. He has above average armspeed with a low effort delivery. His best offspeed pitch was his 77-78 mph changeup that had slight run to it. Breaking ball is still developing. With his low effort delivery and frame expect velocity to continue to improve with maturity. He is more advanced on the mound but showed tools as a position player as well. At the plate he is stronger than he is fast with the bat. Ball came off his bat well. His flat path gives him a large margin for error in timing. Reached a top exit velocity of 83 mph. In the infield he has soft hands with above average glove skills. Would like to see him play lower. Moves well laterally. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash.
7/28/15 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic build. Right-handed hitter with a simple approach and an easy swing that stays flat thru the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 82 mph and ran 4.55 home to first. Over at third base he shows good range to glove side and throws from an easy high-3/4 slot with 77 mph arm strength across the diamond.
7/8/15 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic body frame. At third base he uses pretty good footwork to approach ground balls. He tends to let the ball get deep on him, and could improve by fielding with his hands more out in front of his body. Throws with a clean arm action coming from a ¾ slot, reaching a top velocity of 74 mph across the infield.
