6-foot, 210-pounds. Wide and strong upper body. Proportionally built between upper and lower half. Pitching - Simple and repeatable delivery. Keeps weight stacked over his backside after hand break. Controlled stride and balanced lower half at landing. High ¾ arm slot that creates a tough downward angle on all of his pitches. Arm action gets long on the backside with no elbow bend but it’s smooth and shortens up as he gets to his release. Keeps glove side compact and firm. FB sat 85-86 and topped at 87 MPH with good life. Featured FB the most but also flashed 3 secondary pitches: CB at 74-75, SL at 77-78 and CH at 79-80. Overall, strong and athletic arm with a quality feel for pitching.
NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)
Sturdy 6-foot, 200-pound right-hander with potential. Pitching- Fastball at 80-82 MPH that touches 84 MPH show late movement, some attempt to use height results in positive downward plane, further effort will reap benefits; learning how to use hip tilt at balance point to create power. Late biting slider at 72-73 MPH.
