A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: Above-average, starter’s build at 6-foot-1, 190lbs.
Pitching: RHP - Begins from the left corner of the mound; momentum building pace that propels a lighting fast arm through a H ¾ slot. Repeated well and threw strikes, holding the zone from 89-91 mph on the FB (2118 rpms, heavy action). Mixed a well-spun 74-76 mph CB on an 11/5 tilt and countered with a more lateral 76-77 mph SL across the plate. Two different looks, then dropped in a CH that showed flashes at 77-78 mph (11 inches fade).
6/28/21
Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot-1, 185lb frame with athleticism and durability out on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber with gradual pace to the delivery; got to a balance stack at waist height and drove down the slope using tempo and explosive movements. Created some down tilt at a H ¾ slot, landing strikes at 86-88, T89 mph on the FB (T2178rpms). Added a two-plane 74-76 mph breaker with late depth for K’s and gave hitters a different look on a 73-74 mph SL showing good tunnel at release (T12 inches HM, gradual). Later mixed in a quality 77-79 mph with extra extension (6+ feet, 67% zone rate) able to hold deceptiveness out of the hand. Feel for three pitches, sometimes four in the strike-zone, manipulating sequences to keep hitters off balance.
3/28/21
Physical: Strong, athletic build at 6-foot-1, 175 lbs.
Pitching: Works with good pace; fundamental balanced delivery; efficient lower half with quality hip-shoulder separation accelerating against a strong post leg; long, fluid arm action through a clean 3/4 release. FB: Has life out of the hand; profiles as a sinker/ 2-seam with up to 18" arm side run and a Bauer Unit of 25. CB: 11-5 Shape with tight break; up to 7.5" vertical drop and 5" horizontal movement. CH: Good hand speed with up to 15" fade.
2/23/19
A lean 5-foot-9, 140 pounds. Ran a 7.86 60 yard dash and ran a 4.44 home to first. Offensively- Stands in the box. Slight bend in the knees. Feet shoulder width apart. Uses a leg lift before attacking the baseball. Hands drop slowly before entering the hitting zone. Short compact swing. Gets good use of lower half. Gets full extension after the point of contact. Top exit velocity 72 MPH. Defensively- Showed active footwork. An aggressive approach to the baseball. Fields the ball to the side of the body. Shows a quick transfer to a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity 75 MPH. Pitching- Displayed a repeatable delivery. Stays balanced throughout his delivery. Uses a high knee lift and drives downhill from a balanced backside. Keeps the front side closed. Smooth hand separation from a balanced point. Shows good FB command and peaked at 78 MPH. CB has tight early spin ranged from 62-64 MPH. Showed feel for a CH at 69-71 MPH.
