‘22 RHP/OF Ryan VanDeWater (Our Lady of Lourdes) Strong, athletic build at 6’1, 175lbs. Quality hip-shoulder separation w/ a long, fluid arm action through a clean 3/4 release. FB 86-88 T89 Life through the zone. Sharp, S&M BB at 75-76 MPH & feel for a CH at 76-78. @TrackManBBpic.twitter.com/3NSKMSwGdn
Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot-1, 185lb frame with athleticism and durability out on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber with gradual pace to the delivery; got to a balance stack at waist height and drove down the slope using tempo and explosive movements. Created some down tilt at a H ¾ slot, landing strikes at 86-88, T89 mph on the FB (T2178rpms). Added a two-plane 74-76 mph breaker with late depth for K’s and gave hitters a different look on a 73-74 mph SL showing good tunnel at release (T12 inches HM, gradual). Later mixed in a quality 77-79 mph with extra extension (6+ feet, 67% zone rate) able to hold deceptiveness out of the hand. Feel for three pitches, sometimes four in the strike-zone, manipulating sequences to keep hitters off balance.
