Fall 2017

Fast twitch middle infielder with a through the middle line drive approach; projects more at 2B for the next level. Once he stays under control defensively he'll reach his full potential.
Big Apple Preview (October 8, 2016)
Slighty built, fast twitch 5-foot-9 145 pound middle infielder who ran a 7.14– 60, slightly higher than his best recorded time of 7.02 in September 2015. Offensively- Lefty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside his shoulders. Slight knee bend with an upright torso holding his hands ear level above his back shoulder showing little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a knee raise into a stride forward while his hands move back into a good hitting position. Good lower body rotation getting whole frame into swing. Quick hands to the hitting zone with a slight upward lift bat path throughout into a high two handed finish. Smooth and fluid swing hitting baseball to all fields. Valuable future prospect and will only get better with added strength and size. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH, a 6 MPH increase from September 2015. Defensively- Good footwork and approach to baseball. Quick hands and a quick transition from glove to throwing hand. Moves aggressively and fluid towards throwing target. Fields ball well on the run. Overall a solid future middle infield collegiate prospect. Recorded a positional velocity of 82 MPH.
NJ Underclass Games (September 20, 2015)
Flores is an athletic prospect with above average baseball actions across the board. He ran a 7.02 60. Offensively- He hits from the left side with a smooth, compact stroke. He sprays the ball around with potentially plus plus bat control. Exit velocity of 75 MPH but plays better. Defensively- He has good glove skills and already impressive arm strength with a short, clean arm action. He plays the game with energy and excitement. Arm strength at very respectable 82 MPH.
